Well that all escalated quickly. One minute we were looking towards April and the new financial year with trepidation, then after a whirlwind of gigs and events, we are suddenly approaching May! My frazzled brain and porky carcass get little time to process the highs and lows of each week before the next week hits and demands all of my focus. The result... Time whizzes past leaving me with a slightly blurry recollection of some fantastic nights, (kind of like viewing the world with a hangover, but with far less gin)! So apologies that the updates have been few and far between of late, hopefully as we are now starting to get in the swing of things again, they will be hitting your inbox a bit more often.
Since my last blog we have had some absolutely blinding events at The Crooked Crow Bar.
We had our Blockbuster Film Club screening of The Labyrinth, which even came with an optional drinking game!
We had our CLOTHES SWISH at this months ECO SOCIAL, which was a huge hit.
We had a fantastic quiz night, (with teams squeezed onto every table in the room!), an independent film screening, some brilliant BYO Vinyl sessions and bar nights and, of course, more live music than you could shake a stick at!!!!
With EPIC gigs (many of which were SOLD OUT) from Screamin Irene, Dirty Deeds (AC/DC tribute), The Smiths Utd (Smiths tribute), The Informers, Chop Suey (SOAD tribute) + Killswitch UK and V8.
So we will be steamrolling into May on a bit of a buzz from a fantastic month, and we still have a week of awesome events to go!!!!
Tonight sees the return of our Castle Comedy Night.
As always, this event is really popular and we completely understand why... It's hilarious! With a mixed bill of TV comedians as well as rising stars, the standard of comedy is phenomenal!
Castle Comedy Nights are the last Wednesday of each month at The Crooked Crow Bar.
Details and tickets for next months Castle Comedy Night will be going up on our website soon, so keep your eyes peeled to not miss out!
This Thursday we have something a bit special lined up for all of you Smiths and Morrissey fans...
