As you probably have seen or heard, yesterday the government announced further precautionary covid-safety measures (the so named: Plan B ).
A lot of people have asked how this will impact us at The Crooked Crow Bar. The simple answer is that it wont! It remains business as usual.
The hand sanitising stations will remain in place. We still ask customers to use common sense: lateral flow test prior to attending our events and to not attend if they test positive, are isolating or have any covid symptoms (full refunds will be issued upon request, prior to the event). Masks are optional, as is signing in upon entry. We will not be requesting any proof of test results or vaccine status (after all, we maybe bad-ass bitches, but we are not fascists)!
We urge all our customers to remember that the last 2 years have been utter dog sh*t for EVERYBODY, so be respectful and above all, be kind.

SATURDAY 11th DECEMBER: Live & Loud With V8

EPIC Hard Rock Classics that are guaranteed to get you bouncing! And as if that is not fantastic enough, the band will be followed by an awesome Rock DJ set! So bring comfy shoes and prepare yourself for the next day mosh-whiplash!!!
This is a standing gig with very limited seating available. Please contact the Crooked Crow Bar in advance if you have a disability requiring special access or seating arrangements and we will try to accommodate. Please note that gigs may also use flash/strobe lighting.
Sunday 12th December: Super Star Saga (acoustic covers)

Join us for our Sunday Vibes Sessions. They are every Sunday 12-4pm and it is completely free entry. Our hot spiced apple and boozy hot chocolates will be on the menu and you are welcome to bring outside food in. These events are really popular and the atmosphere is always chilled, friendly and with some of the best acoustic music on the circuit, the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Wednesday 15th December: Castle Comedy Night
Doors: 7.30pm

Comedy Comedy is back at The Crooked Crow Bar with a Christmas Special. The show will feature star names, mince pies, crackers and loads of Christmas cheer!
JONNY AWSUM - A comedic whirlwind, Jonny has a special feel-good brand of musical comedy. He is the gag slinging guitar hero sure to take it up a gear at The Crooked Crow.
You may also recognise him from the current series of Britain’s Got Talent where he roped in Ant and Dec to bring the house down and receive a standing ovation from the judges.

EL BALDINHO - will be bringing the magic to the show! He has appeared on Britain’s Got Talent and is a regular comedy pundit on BT Sports The Football’s On! With his mind-bogglingly daft magic and his likeable stage persona he will make the audience laugh and gasp in equal measure.

The show will feature full support and Castle Comedy favourite Paul Revill will host the show.
Friday 17th December: The 2 Tone All Ska's (Christmas Stomp)

Baby it's cold outside... But it will be nice and toasty in here, as the 2Tone All Ska's are back in town for their Christmas Stomp! The 2Tone's are an absolutely insane 5 piece that will be playing all your favourite Trojan, 2 Tone and old school ska classics.
Tickets are just £5! So dust off your dancing shoes and come and join us for what is likely to be a MONSTER of a night!
Saturday 18th December: The Zeroes Christmas Party!

Well, Christmas (like it or not), is 1week away, so it is the perfect excuse to drink, dance and be merry!
The Zeroes are one of our absolute faves as not only do they play a banging mix of alt 80s & 90s bangers and their own Latino-styled originals, they were the 1st ever band to ever play The Crooked Crow Bar. In fact, on the night of their 1st gig (NY Eve 2019) at The CCB we had a temporary bar, bare walls and a borrowed PA! It was definitely more of a warehouse vibe (minus the glow sticks) and we absolutely LOVED it!!!!
This will be our last band night of 2021 and so we invite you to join us for a festive boogie!
Wednesday 23rd December: Double Deckers Classic Vinyl DJ

The Double Deckers (aka Paul & Ben) will be helping you to turn up the heat, with fantastic Northern Soul, Soul, Motown, Ska & Mod classic vinyl DJ set!
It is free entry and the perfect Christmas Party playlist for everyone who has had their fill of bloody Wham already!!!!
The Crooked Crow Bar will be open Christmas Eve 3pm-10:30pm but with no event scheduled (just great music and beer)!

NB: It has been a rough couple of years and whilst we are incredibly lucky to have survived this far, we really do need things to get back to the hedonistic days of full capacity, sweaty, beery goodness soon, or it may well be the end of the end of our Crooked Crow Bar journey. Fingers crossed, the new year brings with it brighter times, but whatever happens we just want to take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU for all your fantastic support.
