It's now less than 7 weeks away, but it still feels too early to be mentioning Christmas (which of course was the "C" word we were referring to)! It's not that we aren't fans, quite the opposite in fact! We love a bit of yuletide debauchery, just would like to make it to the big event without being sick to death of it! All the premature decorations, gushy tv adverts and being forced to listen to Mariah Carey when shopping for the weekly groceries, is starting to feed our inner Grinch! So, whilst we are sure we will have an absolutely EPIC Christmas and New Year at The Crooked Crow Bar, for now it can bugger off!
Last week felt a stark contrast from the previous few weeks. The clocks going back always seems to take a bit of getting used to and we doubt there was a single person in the country who didn't look out the window and comment about how dark it'd got at some point last week! But, given the darkness and the horrific weather and the post-Halloween-party-liver-recovery, last week was understandably a bit quiet, but okay! We had our 2nd ever film quiz, a fantastic performance from The Filthy Spectacula (who will be back with a new line up next year), a great night with That's What She Said on Saturday and our usual, chilled Sunday Vibes session. This week we have an absolute belter lined up, in fact, between now and 2023 it is pretty full on with fantastic events! We will (despite our Bah Humbug attitudes) be getting the bulk of those events listed up on our webiste and Facebook page later this week. So keep your eyes peeled!
