We have kicked it up a gear this month. From Murder Mysteries, to 3 awesome gigs last week and our Quiz & Jam Night this week and we still have 2 awesome gigs to go! Anyone who was lucky enough to come and see Bex Marshall and Ian Siegal last Thursday, would surely agree that the gig was absolutely mind blowing, with fantastic performances from Ian and Bex. Jam 69 (who performed on Friday) had tweaked their line up and their set so that rather than performing one full set of The Jam and one of songs from that era, they performed 2 mixed sets of The Jam and songs from that era (new wave, punk & ska)! It was a small adjustment but the result was amazing! Two high energy, belting, sing along sets that definitely got everyone bopping away! Then on Saturday night we were treated to an absolutely epic gig from Fret Heads. It was great to be so busy, with awesome tunes and an awesome vibe. We have since learned that it was lead singer, Naomi's last gig with Fret Heads, so we are so glad we got to send her off in style! We wish all of the band the best of luck with their next chapter and are excited to see what they have in store for us when they return in October!
The Pie Nest will be returning this Saturday and Sunday 12-4pm serving tasty Pieminister Pie & Mash (vegan & gluten free options available) and Jamaican inspired patties. This weeks Pie of the Week is The Moo & Blue (Steak & Stilton).
Good news... Whilst the temperature is El Scorchio, our air con will be working overtime, so it maybe roasting outside, but at the crow it will be nice and cool!!!! As Monday is supposed to be one of the hottest days in the history of hot days in Leighton Buzzardshire, we will be opening up our nice, cool bar from 9am (as we think it will be the nicest work space for us!) so if you wanted to join us for locally roasted coffee, free wifi and a cool workspace, then do feel free to pop down! We have plenty of room, so no pre-booking required (over 16s only).
