The heat wave is back! And whilst temperatures are not expected to be as ridiculous as they were a few weeks ago, it is still bloomin' hot! So yet again, we are feeling immensely grateful to have our aircon keeping us lovely and cool! Last week was absolutely brilliant, with three fantastic, (and busy) gigs. The John Otway band on Thursday night was a real treat and with the return of Owaysis on the Friday and classic rock from Black Rose Society on Saturday, we have head into this week on a bit of a high!
This week we have a jam-packed line up, with even more events than usual! Tonight we have our first ever Film Quiz, Thursday is Jam Night, Friday we have live music from 2Tone All Ska's, The Pie Nest is back this weekend and Saturday daytime is BYO Vinyl, The Informers are on Saturday night, our Sunday Vibes will have live music from Little White Lights, then at 6pm we have our Big Fat Quiz of the Crow!
Now usually, by Sunday, the Crow Crew are absolutely crackered, so there is a chance that by the end of this week we will all be severely lacking in energy, voice & sanity, so please be gentle with us!!!!

As you know, we usually host our Silly Quiz every 2nd Wednesday of the month, however, we are mixing things up a little this month due to us holding a Big Fat Quiz of The Crow this Sunday (as part of our #SaveFromExtinction campaign). So tonight we have decided to host our first ever FILM QUIZ.
There will be rounds on Harry Potter, Star Wars, Disney & Superheroes, as well as general film trivia.
THURSDAY: JAM NIGHT
8PM - FREE ENTRY
With a fantastic house band and drum kit, pa, monitors, mics, stands, and amps provided, this is an event for musicians to be able to get up on our stage and have some fun, drink some beer and bang out some awesome tunes. If you wish to participate, just let us know on the night. You will need to bring your guitar or sticks (depending on what you play) and we will give you a shout when it's time for you to rock out!
We appreciate that there are a lot of jam nights advertised in a lot of towns and every event is run very differently, so here is what you need to know about our Jam Night...
Only musicians are allowed to perform (non-musicians are very welcome to watch/enjoy the event, but wont be allowed to play out their rock god fantasies after a few sherberts)!
If you play something other than guitar, bass, drums or vocals, drop us a message via our website or socials and we will let you know if we can accommodate you.
This is not an opportunity for bands to gig together (musicians will be mixed up).
It is not a karaoke night (so you can save the Neil Diamond for another time)! It is also not an opportunity for solo performances (one man and his banjo might be more suited to an open mic night)!
Over 16s only (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult).
The house get's the final say, so no ego's, no hogging the stage, you will be invited to get up to perform and told when to get down again, so everyone get's a shot!
This event is always pure magic and a great fun night for everyone who takes part as well as all of those who just pop down to watch, so why not come and see for yourself?!

We have an extra special Sunday Vibes session today. In memory of one of our Crow regulars (and friend), who sadly passed away recently, we have invited her favourite band, Little White Lights to come and perform. It will be an opportunity for those who knew Sara to raise a glass to her, but the event is open to everybody. Little White Lights are a fantastic, acoustic duo, the perfect soundtrack to a sunny Sunday afternoon. Free Entry

As this quiz is both BIG and FAT, you can expect even more silliness and fun than normal! With plenty of alcohol, rounds on music lyrics, album covers, true or false, naughty anagrams & more, and (of course), a sparkly jacketed host!
This event is part of our #SaveFromExtinction campaign, to raise some much needed funds for us to recover from the damage caused by the pandemic. As such, the entry fee is a minimum of £1pp (but you can pay as much as you like)!
