Did You Miss Us?!

Sorry it's been a while since my last update. I would love to report that it's because I have been sunning myself on a glorious beach somewhere, however the reality of it is that last week, three of our Crow Crew were on holiday and as such, I worked from the bar. It was great spending the week at the bar. Since the restricted trading ended I tend to only work at the bar 3 days a week, however, I soon remembered why I had opted to do this! The downside to having a chilled, friendly space, good tunes and genuinely nice customers, is that I often get bugger all work done! So last week saw a distinct lack of newsletters, updates, posters, behind the scenes events organising or promotion in general!!!

But never fear! Everything is all back to normal now and as I am sure you are all waiting on tenterhooks to find out how life at The Crow has been over the last couple of weeks and what we have in store for September, I cordially invite you to GET A LOADA THIS...!

We had an epic bank holiday week with the hilarious Tom Davis (Murder in Successville, King Gary) performing at our Castle Comedy Night, a fantastic Hip Hop Lounge, rock & metal belters from Sweet Revenge (where I made a couple of horrific guest appearances on account of it being my birthday/drinking too much Aspalls!), great tunes at our Pie & Mash Up Sunday, the MVT/National Lottery #ReviveLive Gig with Eve Christina, The Ology's and Low Girl, then our Monday, Sunday Vibes session!!!

The week following a bank holiday, particularly one as jam-packed as ours, and the last week of the Summer Holidays, is often a bit quiet, so we saved all the energy we could muster for our weekend events... and they didn't disappoint! We were blown away by our chilled Friday night gig with The Robert J Hunter Band, on Saturday we had awesome AC/DC tribute, Let There B/DC and after a great Sunday Vibes session, we had the 1st Screening of The LB Film Fest, which was amazing!

So keeping the momentum going, we are heading into September with not only a new Prime minister (who surely can't be any worse than the last one), but even more fantastic events lined up...

THIS WEEK!

WEDNESDAY 7th September: 7pm

It is the second part of the screenings of independent films at LB Film Fest.

The talent showcased at the 1st screening was absolutely mind-blowing and with a sold out room full of Indie-film lovers, immense vegan fudge popcorn from FUUDGE LIFE filling the room with the best aroma and (of course) great beers available from the bar, we can not wait for this second screening!

Thursday 8th September, 8pm: Jam Night

With a fantastic house band and drum kit, pa, monitors, mics, stands, and amps provided, this is an event for musicians to be able to get up on our stage and have some fun, drink some beer and bang out some awesome tunes. If you wish to participate, just let us know on the night. You will need to bring your guitar or sticks (depending on what you play) and we will give you a shout when it's time for you to rock out!

Free Entry (over 16s only)
