Well those 1st couple of weeks in September turned out to be a wincey bit warm! I'm pleased to say that whilst at times it felt moister than an otters bum cheeks, we continued to host some absolutely epic events, from our Blockbuster Film Club screening of Cool Runnings, to our retro gaming & classic album Sundays, as well as fantastic live gigs from The Soul Enforcement Bureau, Desert Penguins, Rowsie, Holly Henderson, Freddie Cowan (from The Vaccines), The Zeroes and The Indie Scene. Tonight we have teamed back up with Gazza Records and have live music from Will Poyer and 2x NYC bands (Grasping Straws & Cannonball Statman)!!!
Teaming up with other local independents is something we hope to do even more of. Gazza Records runs a monthly Classic Album Sunday plus promotes some fantastic gigs at The CCB (next up is Gaz Brookfield, who's new album is currently at #1 in the UK Folk Album Charts)! We teamed up with VG Pizza Focaccia at our last movie night and hope to do some regular events together soon, the LB Film Fest will be hosting 2 events at the CCB at the end of this month and excitingly, we are teaming up at the end of this month with Ollie Vees Tiki Lounge, to host the fantastic Ichi Bons!!! More details about that special collaboration gig are to follow, but for now, check out some of the pics from September...
