The weather has been a tad unpredictable of late. Popping out the house could mean you need to grab sunglasses, a windproof-mac, wellies and a pack of Huskies! The one consistent throughout it all has been, whatever the weather, you marvellous pissheads have still been down to prop up the bar, join in with events and watch some top-notch live music and for that we owe you a huge THANKYOU!!!
Last week we hosted our Metal Night, which was absolutely awesome. We had two Crow- debut performances from Bring To Bear and Vicrus and they both knocked it out the park! It was great to see so many people support the event, we definitely will be booking both bands back in for more shows and will look to doing more Metal Nights in future.
Saturday night we saw the return of El Bronson and those super-sexy, moshing Mexicans did not disappoint as the night was rammed full of fantastic tunes and general perversities. By 10pm we were turning people away at the door as there was no way they were going to fit in the building! It felt like the good old days and everyone who was lucky enough to manage to get in, will attest to the fact it was absolutely EPIC!
So with the buzz of yet another great week under our belt, we move on to yet more fantastic events that we have lined up for this week...
We are open tonight (Tuesday 5th April) from 3-11pm as a bar, so no event, just great tunes, great beer, pool table and free entry.
Wednesday 6th: Mystery & Murder Night
As the trial game went so well, we thought we would make this a monthly event...
Join us for a night of mystery & murder as we blend an escape room, murder mystery, games night and drunken tomfoolery, all from the table at our wonderful bar! You and your team of up to 6ppl, must solve puzzles to find the identity of the killer. Game takes 1hr ish & can be played anytime from 8pm-9:30pm. Over 16s only. Dogs welcome (although we doubt they will solve many clues) and outside food allowed. Free Entry
Thursday 7th: Game Night
We have restocked our board game selection (they were getting pretty shabby) & added some brilliant games into the mix, from sweary dice & card games, rude drawing games, easy but fun games like pass the pigs, rapidough & kazoo that tune, to classics like Scrabble, articulate & backgammon. Free Entry
Friday 8th April. Doors 8:30pm. Live Music.
We are SO excited to be welcoming back the awesome Bleeding Hearts this Friday, with their festival-friendly, high octane folk punk mayhem. And as if it couldn't get any better, we also have grassroots, acoustic legend, Sam Draisley opening the show, so this Friday is shaping up to be EPIC!!! Entry is just £5 (limited tix available on the door)
